After police raided two house projects in Berlin-Friedrichshain on monday, a spontaneous demo took place on tuesday to show that we won’t stand for their actions and intimidation.

Climate protest disrupts Australian Labor Party conference

Climate protesters have disrupted the annual conference of the NSW Labor Party, demanding the government scrap plans for more coal fired power stations in the state. Three members of the climate action group Rising Tide Newcastle stole the floor during a speech by NSW Premier Nathan Rees. The protesters unfurled a large banner reading “Coal Kills! Scrap the new power stations” and disrupted the Premier's speech by calling out loudly about the climate change impacts of the NSW government's addiction to the coal industry.
